Staff
A neat and tidy staff schedule keeps the shop running smoothly with enough manpower.
The staff gain the opportunity to select times they want to work; during very heavy workloads additional staff in the pool come in to help.
Most of the staff attend school or university.
Their longer term breaks coincide with our busy customer periods.
Our staff include mechanical and administrative staff as well as people with intellectual challenges.
Our mechanical staff, mostly young male bicycle fanatics, learn under supervisors.
They earn the opportunity to attend high level training courses such as the "Shimano Certificate Course" so they learn technical details and a methodical approach.
Mechanical staff do everything other than administrative work.
They clean the shop, serve customers, repair cycles and test ride cycles.
Supervisors maintain the high level of effectiveness and quality assurance.
Experienced mechanical staff may later become supervisors; they carry excellent knowledge about the shop itself and the technical details.
